The transport module allows you group movements attached to consignments
together based on a single transport entity (vessel, aircraft or tuck).
Operational Movements are used to represent the movement of a single
transport entity. The manifest for the operational movement will include
all of the consignments linked to the single movement. An operational
movement may have multiple stops to load and unload freight.
This results in fewer objects that must be managed. For example, rather
than manage each movement on each consignment, a single operational
movement for a vessel can be used to update multiple consignments on the
same voyage. Or multiple LTL consignments can be assigned to a truck
and the truck’s arrival and departure is updated from a single screen
and the updates will be allocated to the consignments on the truck.
