Freight

Freight

Notes
In CocoonOPS freight represents the packages/equipment that are transported and goods are packages/items contained within the freight.

To add freight to a consignment:
  1. Select the FREIGHT tab
  2. From the right-hand side, drag the freight equipment you need to the centre of the screen
  3. You will be shown the properties for the freight you have just attached

By right clicking on freight you can:
  1. Remove the item of freight
  2. Duplicate the piece of freight
  3. Access the properties of the freight item

Info
Containers represent individual physical containers. Other equipment, such as pallets, represent one or more physical freight items.

You make changes to freight items through the Properties dialog box.

This will change based on:
  1. The type of freight equipment
  2. If the freight contains hazardous goods
  3. If the freight has environmental requirements (most commonly temperature)
Bellow you can see the properties for containerized freight.

Below you can see the properties for non-containerized freight.

Notably this includes the PIECES field which indicates how manly identical pieces of freight are part of the consignment.

Idea
If a field in the freight properties does not apply or you do not have the value, leave if blank.
Info
You can use the properties dialog box to change the type of freight equipment that is being used.
