Insurance Tab

This tab is only available if you have the Breeze AI Insurance addon enabled.

The insurance tab shows you the information on the cargo insurance quote/policy. Including the insurance premium and which currency it is in.

You are also able to accept an insurance quote.

How to get a quote

An insurance quote is automatically requested when the following is available on the consignment:

• Insurance option on the instruction tab is set to required
  
• There is a departure date attached to the consignment - Either the collection date or goods ready date
• There is freight attached to the consignment
• The freight has goods which have:
  • Gross Value
  • Commodity Code
    

When any of the above information is changed on the consignment, the insurance quote will automatically be updated.

The insurance cost and linked revenue rates will be attached to the consignment.

When additional information is available for an insurance quote, the icon will appear on the insurance tab. Clicking on this will display a dialog box with information.

This can be information about the insurance policy or, if an error occurred, information about the error encountered while communicating with the insurance provider.

When an insurance quote is attached to the consignment, you can convert the quote into a policy using the [ Create Insurance Policy ] button.

When a policy has been issued, you can cancel the policy by clicking on the [ Cancel Insurance Policy ] button.

A policy cannot be updated once issued. 

A policy cannot be cancelled on or after the date of departure which is also the effective date for the policy.
