CocoonOPS supports customs only consignments.
Customs only consignments are built identically to consignments where you are moving freight.
The main differences for a customs only consignment:
- Movements don't have to be managed
- Consignment status is linked to a customs declaration
Movements are still needed on a customs only consignment as the declaration takes information from the relevant movements
Setting A Consignment As Customs Only
To set a consignment as customs only:
- Open a new consignment
- In the instructions dialog box, set the following:
- service field to CUSTOMS CLEARANCE ONLY
- customs clearance field to PROVIDED
- Create the rest of the consignment as you would normally
- Complete customer instructions
- Attach Freight
- Select the main carrier
- Build movements
Movements attached to a customs only consignment always have the status INFO ONLY.
You are only able to manage the properties for these movements.
They cannot be marked as collected/departed or arrived/delivered

A customs declaration will automatically be created for the consignment
Completing Customs Only Consignments
The status of the consignment will be linked to the customs declaration rather than movements.
For a customs only consignment to show as complete you must mark a customs declaration attached to the consignment as CLEARED.
Once completed the consignment will be added to the archived shipments list.
